Antoine Petitprez, Mondeuse, 'Premier Vol', Savoie, France, 2019

Biodynamic/Natural

The Savoie in north east France is a region that’s filled with delicious food, mountains, fresh air, and of couse - amazing bottles of wine.

Antoine Petitprez is actually based in neighbouring Burgundy, but also works with famers producing a small amount of old vine Mondeuse in the Savoie. Mondeuse is an interesting grape variety, it can be tricky to get to grips with, but if made well, can be delightfull and fun.

He spends his time consulting with many of the biggest names in the business - Dujac/Bel Air/Camuzet to name a few, as well as making his own wine.

With aromas of bright red and black fruits - raspberries, plums with a wild floral aroma too. The wine hasn’t been bottled with any sulphur. It’s fun and food friendly, but could also be drunk by itself, and even served slightly chilled should you wish.
